have been a Yoga practitioner for the past 15 years, and an instructor of Yoga for the past 5 years. Yoga is a holistic practice that combines postures, breathing, and meditation to optimize benefits for yoga students. I have Teacher Training Certifications from Kapila Maharashi Institute, Hyderabad and SVYASA Yoga University, Bangalore. My RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) Certification was from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram, Trivandrum, a world-famous Yoga ashram in 2011. In 2013, I completed my RYT 500 certification from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Meenakshi Ashram, Madurai.
My instruction has been given on a one-to-one basis to students, and in class settings . I have conducted summer camps for children that instructed them in asanas, which helped them improve their balance and concentration. I have conducted yoga sessions in corporate offices and yoga awareness sessions at clinics.
I am passionate about teaching Yoga and inculcate my students with an appreciation for this ancient art form. Many of my students have continued under my instruction, and those with physical ailments such as sciatica and back pain have expressed great satisfaction with the results.
These daily sessions (five days a week) are conducted at the client’s residence, on a one to one basis. Each personal session lasts for an hour, and is individualized to their own goals and health concerns. These sessions allow me to focus on the client’s progress, and modify the intensity and routine accordingly. This level of personalized attention is not possible in a typical Yoga Studio setting.
Group classes are excellent for beginners, and helps encourage and motivate them through the initial challenges of a new routine. I encourage groups to be less than 12 people, since it still allows a level of personal guidance.
Allow our structured and re-energizing classes to calm the mind and soothe the body from the stresses of a hectic corporate lifestyle. Yoga can be performed by all age and weight groups, which allows the company to provide the benefit to all its employees. Classes can even be offered at multiple locations or different times in the day to benefit different shifts or groups. I have worked with employee groups and HR to provide this much-needed benefit at various corporate offices and facilities.
